March 4, 2011. One year ago today we traveled out to Philadelphia to meet our daughter and begin the journey of adoption. How can that be a year ago already? This year has been full of joys, challenges, happiness, sadness, and so many more emotions. We have cheered Hope along as she has accomplished so much in this past year. We are so proud of her and how far she has come. What a difference a year has made in the life of our precious little girl. What a difference a year has made in our lives as well. We have all been through so many changes and adjustments in this year. We have learned so much, loved more, laughed harder, cried more often, hugged harder, kissed more little cheeks, smiled more smiles, held little hands tighter, prayed harder, and thanked our Heavenly Father more often for all of our blessings. And it has been good, so very good. We love you, Hope Atlanta Mesadieu Huinink! Happy 1 year.We had a pretty low key celebration since we just got home from Florida and all. We invited my parent's over for cupcakes (decorated by Hope!) and a little party. The party was fun and Hope enjoyed being the center of attention. She did not, however, enjoy the cupcake. She doesn't have much of a sweet tooth at all, unlike her big brother!! We feel like our big celebration was being at Disney for the whole week before today! What a great way to celebrate a year of Hope being home with us!
