Samuel, in general, is a really well-behaved little boy. He's not one to get into things he's not supposed to touch or play with. If we tell him not to do something, he (usually) won't do it. We never really had to "baby-proof" the house for him. He just doesn't get into stuff!
Today . . . that changed. And hopefully it was just for today! He definitely acted his age today. :) This afternoon he was playing with some coins. Aliyah was sleeping when he started playing with them but woke up when he still had them out. Daryl warned Samuel to not put the coins anywhere even remotely close to Aliyah because she would eat them. A few minutes later Daryl noticed Aliyah was chewing on something. He said "Aliyah, what do you have in your mouth?" Samuel piped up and said, "money!" Daryl tried to get it out but she swallowed it. Yikes. Thankfully, it seems to have gone all the way into her tummy and she's acting completely normal. A few minutes after that he colored on the little red table (yes, my prize red table that I pulled out of the trash!). And then when Daryl was making supper Samuel climbed up onto the chair and touched the pot on the stove! He cried and said that his finger hurt but it appears to be just fine. All 3 of these things are very out of character for him . . . we'll see what he's like tomorrow!!
