A Sunday at Grandma's House

We love sunny Sunday afternoons at Grandpa and Grandma's house!

See the ball?  This one went way over to the other side of the road.  Not that I'm bragging or anything. ;)

He's not happy with the little hits anymore, he only wants big hits!  After he hits the ball, he always runs the bases and he always gets a home run.  Strangely, the shorter the hit, the smaller the distances between the "bases" is.  Haha!
Samuel's turn to be the pitcher!

 Not a bad pitch!

The wind up.  Love seeing that front leg "kick"!

Samuel recently told us, "I want to play baseball every day!"

After the baseball game, the adults decided to play a round of ladder ball.  Samuel was "playing" too and he got one of the balls stuck up in the pine tree.  See the blue ball?  Daryl grabs a broom to knock the ball down but he still couldn't reach the ball so he threw the broom to try and knock the ball down.  And the broom got stuck.  See the green and yellow handle?

So Anna tries to climb on Daryl's shoulders to grab the broom out of the tree.  That didn't work very well.  Ultimate fail.

Leave it to the husband/wife team!

The ball was a little bit more of a challenge to get down.  We ended up getting a longer pole out of the garage and knocking the ball down with that.  I wish we had a picture of our kids watching this!  They were pretty unsure about what Mommy and Daddy were doing!
